OK, first of all, i have to say that Blogger stinks. Yes, it's free, but it's also incredibly buggy. Friday, it wouldn't put new posts up because it was archiving them incorrectly. Today, it won't let me assign a title to this post. Just had to vent.

Let's call it, "The Way Ahead".

Chuck and Amy are near their July 29 date with the San Francisco Half-Marathon. It'll be Chuck's first, Amy's third. I have 14 on the calendar for us this Saturday.

Chuck has planned a run that will go ten on the Hike and Bike trail and finish with four on the road. And a smoothie.

For those of you who did not run the 12, and/or have not been keeping up with at least 1/2 to 2/3 of your other weekly runs, it's probably a good idea to run eight or ten.

I don't know if anyone's still planning on the August 5 half marathon in Fort Davis. I haven't checked on whether we'd be able to get rooms out there or not - apparently, that could be an issue. If people still want to go, and anyone could do some checking on accomodations for Saturday night, that would be great.

sorry, Chuck, i removed your comment because i deleted what it rightly responded to. and, i apologize - i didn't mean to offend, and i do think your plan is a good one and is what people should do.

in fact, i apologize to everyone that i may have offended lately. i wanted to continue being a coach after Rogue fucked me over (twice), and i was trying to do it by imposing my will on the group, then getting offended when people (and it's most people, not just you, Chuck) want to do something different. i guess i just feel there isn't a whole lot of point to what i'm doing (and i don't need anyone telling me differently). you guys don't need me telling you what to do, and i don't need to be some egotistical ass trying to still do something he got fired from.

the point here shouldn't be me coaching, but just people getting together and running. i think this blog, when it works, is a good forum for that. i enjoy everyone's company, and i just want to leave it at that.

i am now going to live true to our motto, and become a winner in the comfort of my living room.

Rob, you go right on coaching.

I wouldn't be trying for 14 this weekend if you didn't have it listed as Saturday's run.

And yes, we all may not be keeping up, or making all group runs, but I think most of of try or want to try.

Try not to be too disapointed in our effort sometimes, some days are more social than others ;)
