Pass on Chuy's
Mandy and Staci - I am really sorry, but I won't be able to run on Saturday. No Rob, I'm not being lame, well not exactly. Tonight I was walking down the stairs, carrying a tea pot a cup, 2 steps short of being back on the first floor, my right foot decides it doesn't want to come down correctly. The good news is the tea pot and cup did not break, and I didn't fall on them. The bad news - I've twisted my ankle. It hurts pretty bad right now. I have lived in this house for over 7 years, and its the first time this has happened, and there was absolutely no alcohol involved. I'll keep y'all posted.

Thanks Chuck.
I have been doing the whole ice and elevation thing. Luckily there isn't much swelling.
Are you SURE there wasn't alcohol involved??? I'm thinking that there had to be some residual left for a few days after those doubles you were drinking Wednesday night. That being said, the least you can do is get your sorry a$$ ankle out on the race course and cheer us on.
strike one, jenny from the blog.
hope you feel better! i assume you're talking about the chuy's thing that i just slept through.
isn't rob doing a triathlon today?
no, i bailed on it. so, how did everyone do?
I ran 10 seconds slower than last year. Pretty sad considering the hills were more favorable this year with the reverse route. (or at least it seems like they should have been.) It was great fun as it always is, Elvis was there, the hula dancers, etc. This is my favorite 5k. I managed to get my friend Rachel to run with me. This was her first 5k. Also, I met chuckd and his wife Kristen. It was great meeting you guys! Slowly I am infiltrating the team in exile!
Chuy's was good! I PR'd by 1:15 so I am definitely liking this course.
Had a great time at Chuy's. Did not PR, but was not planning to either.
Was great to meet Amy and her friend Rachel.
Saw Greg and his wife good to see them as always.
And saw the streetmans.
Good to see y'all out there.
After the race I went to town lake and ran 5 miles. To get my 8 in for the day. It went well. It was a warm day and I was beat afterwards. But glad I got it all in. This was week 1 in my 12 weeks of training for the 1/2 marathon.
I ran at lunch today, 3 miles. Man was it hot. My lunch time runs are about over. I'll probably get a couple more in, but then it's gonna be time to join the "crack of dawn patrol"
